IT'S OKAY TO GROUND YOURSELF

Updated: Oct 11, 2024

Baby, when I tell you that I had to ground myself the other day, it was truly a series of unfortunate events that seemed to pile up one after another. Have you ever experienced a day where everything just seems to go wrong from the moment you wake up? Picture this: you oversleep, rush to get ready, only to spill your tea in the car on the way to work. As if that wasn't enough, you find yourself in a close call on the road, making your commute even more stressful. And just when you think it can't get any worse, you arrive at work only to realize that you left your work key at home, forcing you to make the frustrating journey back. Can you relate to that feeling of exasperation and stress?

When I say that morning had me stressed, irritated, and on the verge of wanting to call out of work entirely, it's an understatement. The frustration and tension were palpable, and it felt like the universe was conspiring against me. But it was when I finally made it back home after the ordeal that I realized the importance of grounding myself. In moments of chaos and overwhelm, finding a way to center and reconnect with your inner peace can make all the difference in how you navigate challenges and maintain your composure.

When I say I had to ground myself, I'm not talking about putting myslef in the corner or even restrickinig myself from doing something I enjoy doing. I'm talking about getting myself in alignment. Grounding oneself is a practice that involves connecting with the present moment and finding stability amidst chaos. It goes beyond physical limitations or restrictions; it is about finding inner balance and peace. When someone mentions the need to ground themselves, they are referring to a process of centering their thoughts, emotions, and energy. This can be achieved through various methods such as meditation, mindfulness, or spending time in nature. By grounding oneself, one can realign with their true essence and values, allowing for a sense of clarity and purpose to emerge.

After I made it back to my house I took a moment to change, make a new cup of tea , and took a moment to go sit on the back porch. Knowing I was going to be late for work, yet I didn't care because I knew I needed to get my mind togethere. See returning to the familiar surroundings of my house felt like a comforting embrace. As I stepped onto the back porch, a sense of tranquility washed over me. I sank into a chair, allowing myself to fully immerse in the moment. The gentle rustling of leaves in the trees, the chorus of birds singing their morning melodies – all of it contributed to a serene ambiance that enveloped me.

My spiritual journey has taught me the profound impact that nature can have on our well-being. In the midst of the natural world, I find solace and peace unlike anywhere else. The vibrant greenery, the earthy scents, and the symphony of sounds create a harmonious symphony that resonates deep within my soul. It is in these moments, surrounded by the beauty of the natural world, that I feel most connected to myself and the universe.

As I gazed at the trees swaying gently in the breeze, I felt a sense of oneness with the world around me. The worries and stresses of the day melted away, replaced by a profound sense of calm and contentment. I then Headed back to work and had a stress free and productive day. i'm not sure why, but Nature has a way of grounding us, of reminding us of our place in the grand tapestry of life.
